The Cavs announced Monday that the guard will "resume the treatment and rehabilitation process for his left ankle injury at Cleveland Clinic Courts as the next step in his return to the team".

Derrick Rose is returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The frustration of his derailed MVP career after repeated injuries and layoffs, starting with the 2012-13 season he missed entire after knee surgery, was believed to have driven Rose to take his leave from the Cavs. Get the app and get the game. In his absence, ESPN cited sources saying Rose was uncertain if he wanted to continue his career.

"He wants to be back and he wants to play", Lue continued.

"This has been a very challenging and hard time for Derrick", Cavs General Manager Koby Altman said in the statement.

But he will be missing for at least another couple of weeks as he attempts to recover from the ankle sprain he suffered in their second game of the season when Greg Monroe, then of the Milwaukee Bucks, landed heavily on him. The Cavaliers are on an 11-game winning streak.

"None of us can understand what somebody is going through", James said.

"None of us can understand what he's going through. I know he's frustrated but like I said, I'm glad he's in a good place now". "Hopefully he wants to use us and just try to keep his mind on basketball". He was fined by the Knicks and apologized to his teammates when he returned the next day.

Rose signed a one-year, $2.1 million veterans minimum deal to join the Cavaliers this season.
