The Markit/CIPS manufacturing purchasing managers' index rose to 58.2 from October's 56.6, which was revised up from 56.3.

Commenting on the Indian Manufacturing PMI survey data, Aashna Dodhia, economist at IHS Markit and the author of the report, said that manufacturing economy advanced on its path to recovery as disruptions from the recent tax reform (GST) continued to diminish. Individually, there was a broad-based increase in new orders, while input price inflation also moved higher.
