In a profile with Sports Illustrated released on Tuesday, Gordon opens up about his history with substance abuse, which he says dates back to his childhood in Houston and has resulted in him being suspended for the better part of the past four National Football League seasons. He is eligible to play his first game since 2014 on Sunday after being suspended for the last two years due to multiple violations of the NFL's substance abuse policy.

Gordon, now 26, told Baskin he carried a.38 special while at school and was involved in numerous gun battles.

In an explosive and often unflattering feature piece from Sports Illustrated, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon opens up about being a drug dealer while at Baylor, clearing as much as $10,000 a month selling weed.

He told the magazine that when he was a sophomore, he received as much as six pounds of vacuum-sealed, Mylar-wrapped pot in the mail every month. "He would drive to Dallas, Austin and San Antonio to sell it, and he estimates he was bringing in upward of $10,000 in profit every month". It's also important to note that Gordon says in the profile - which is worth a read - things that contradict what he told GQ earlier in the year about how he would drink or do drugs before "probably every game of my career." .

Last week, Gordon was back at practice with the Browns for the first time since 2016.

Gordon told GQ he would smoke marijuana, drink or have something in his system for nearly every game he played. "I can't give you his whole life story when you're not even guaranteeing me the cover [of Sports Illustrated]".

"We got other projects we're doing", said Johnson, who is on probation for his role in a recruiting scandal at North Carolina. He finished sixth in all-purpose yards that season. That is consistent with what he would tell the Cleveland media when he was reinstated after a 10-game suspension in 2014.
