The only original cast member not mentioned in the press release is Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola.

"Jersey Shore Family Vacation will star Jersey Shore original housemates Deena Nicole Cortese, Paul "Pauly D" Delvecchio," Jenni "JWOWW" Farley, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino. Her relationship with Ortiz-Magro formed a large part of the entertainment on the show in the original series.

JWOWW teased the announcement on Instagram with a photo of the crew.

"Jersey Shore", which ran from 2009 to 2012, had an average of 9 million viewers per episode at its peak in 2011, according to The Hollywood Reporter. But for now, we're just doing fist pumps knowing that the show will return at all, in whatever form it takes on.

Since filming ended, Polizzi and Farley got married and had children; Cortese Wednesday her longtime boyfriend; and Delvecchio, who for several years had a DJ residency in Las Vegas, welcomed a daughter.

Viacom's youth-focused network MTV has commissioned SallyAnn Salsano and her 495 Productions to develop a new installment of the pop culture phenomenon Jersey Shore. MTV head of unscripted Nina L. Diaz and Jackie French oversee for the cable network.

But if you miss seeing Snooki, J-Woww and the crew then here's a bit of good news - as the nigh-legendary MTV show is heading back to our screens in 2018.
