Speaking about the new 4K photo quality, Sean Kelly & Hagen Green, Product Managers, Messenger, said: "We heard that people want to send and receive high resolution photos in Messenger - and considering people send more than 17 billion photos through Messenger every month - we're making your conversations richer, sharper, and better than ever".

Facebook Messenger has grown to become the to-go messaging solution for many people out there. Images sent in 4K resolution will also be sent just as quickly as heavily compressed ones.

The latest in PayPal's busy week: the payments company is now letting users create an invoice through the Facebook Messenger service, expanding on its recent partnership with the social media platform to enable P2P payments through Facebook's chat service. Two images of the same subjects have been captured, but only one them is captured in 4K resolution. Select the photo, tap send, and the person you're messaging with will receive the high resolution photo. Well, there is no need of describing as you clearly see that 4K photos have way clearer and sharper detail.

As long as you've updated your app, then you'll automatically send your high-resolution photos to your friends when you pick them out of your camera roll. However, it's not immediately available for everyone: the US, Canada, France, Australia, the UK, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and South Korea will be able to take advantage of 4K support initially, with other countries scheduled to added to this list within the next few weeks.

Messenger now supports 4K photos in the United States, Canada, France, Australia, United Kingdom, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and South Korea.
