American League winners included Los Angeles Angels catcher Martin Maldonado, Kansas City first baseman Eric Hosmer, Kansas City left fielder Alex Gordon, Minnesota second baseman Brian Dozier, Tampa Bay third baseman Evan Longoria, Los Angeles Angels shortstop Andrelton Simmons, Minnesota center fielder Byron Buxton, Boston right fielder Mookie Betts and Torontopitcher Marcus Stroman. The Platinum Glove will be awarded November 10, during the 2017 Rawlings Gold Glove Award Ceremony. Fans will be able to select one player among the 2017 Rawlings Gold Glove Award winners from each league.

There were six first-time winners. For the second time in his career, LeMahieu was named the Rawlings Gold Glove Award victor at second base. Only Frank White has won more Gold Gloves in franchise history.

Heyward is the second outfielder in franchise history to win multiple gold gloves, joining two-time victor Andre Dawson (1987-88).

Jason Heyward (left) is the first Cub to win Gold Gloves in back-to-back seasons since Greg Maddux.

This is Hosmer's fourth Gold Glove, which ties catcher Salvador Perez for third-most among Royals players.

Kinsler was the only Gold Glove finalist on the Tigers' roster. The SABR Defensive Index comprises approximately 25 percent of the overall selection total, while the managers' and coaches' vote continues to carry the majority.
