Both Ozil and Sanchez could start on the bench at Watford, with the former only having returned to full training this week and the latter just back from worldwide duty with Chile.

"Both players are happy here".

"We live in a world where people have opinions, and sometimes they are right and sometimes they are not always proven right on the longer period".

"I would say you have in every generation a player who carries the pressure of expectation of a nation", the Frenchman said.

His name was back in the headlines on Thursday when Wenger admitted Ozil and Alexis Sanchez might have to be sold in January with their contractual situations yet to be resolved.

Ozil has not started an Arsenal game since September 9, with the Gunners have won five of six games since and their 0-0 draw at Chelsea was said by some commentators to show that they are more defensively solid without him.

Ozil's minor knee problem ruled him out of worldwide duty with Germany and he has trained fully with the Arsenal squad since Monday and yet not certain to start at Watford, who are in good form. I can not tell you what is in his mind. 'I genuinely think he wants to stay, I'm always positive about that'.

Wenger is considering turning to Wilshere for the first time in the Premier League this season.

"If the competition was less ferocious, he is ready to play". 'Of course, he is important but I have many players'. I thought 'what have I done coming here - this is going to be embarrassing'.

Arsenal are now fifth the Premier League table ahead of their clash at Watford.

Wenger added, however, that Wilshere would never be able to reduce his intensity. You can not ask a guy not to go into any contact. Sometimes when he accelerates individually he pushes the ball too far and gets confronted.
