Arsenal will be without some key players for their clash with Watford this weekend.

Wenger gave a prognosis of four to six weeks, meaning that Mustafi could return after the next global break, but the Gunners boss will be keen to ensure that Mustafi is available for the Christmas period.

Shkodran Mustafi is ruled out after sustaining a thigh injury whilst on worldwide duty with Germany, while Laurent Koscielny is a doubt with an achilles tendon problem that caused him to miss the Gunners' 2-0 win over Brighton earlier in the month.

Koscielny's possible return has taken added importance this week amid Shkodran Mustafi's definite absence following a thigh injury while playing for Germany that is expected to result in a relatively long-term issue.

The news of Mustafi's injury may not be too much of a blow to Wenger though considering he hasn't featured for the Gunners so far this season.

"We've lost Mustafi for about four to six weeks", said Gunners manager Wenger. "It looks like if he survives the test he is capable to play".

Midfield: Sead Kolasinac is a minor doubt with a hip injury but the Bosnian worldwide is expected to be available while Hector Bellerin should keep his place on the opposite flank.

"If he has no pain on his Achilles then he will play". At the moment he is not available. "He trained on his own and the signs were positive so we will test him on Friday". I think about sorting out the problem, but overall I will decide completely tomorrow the line-up because Koscielny will have a test.

Chambers has only played one game this season, in the EFL Cup against Doncaster, but has just been given a new deal by Wenger.
