"It is just as much about mental fitness too", Harry continued.

The Royal - who served for a decade in the Army - said as the overall number of troops had fallen each and every one had become "prized assets".

Protecting the United Kingdom from Cyber Attacks is just as important as fighting terrorism, according to the Director of Intelligence Agency GCHQ.

The Prince told the guests: "Yesterday we announced a new partnership with the Ministry of Defence that will see the entire defence community - servicemen and women, veterans, and the MoD civilian population - get better information and training on mental health and mental fitness".

Prince William, Princess Kate, and Prince Harry have invested 2 million pounds of their Royal Foundation funds in the second phase of their Heads Together campaign, which is designed to create online tools to help people with mental health.

The 33-year-old royal and The Royal Foundation will work with the MoD to offer targeted training, support and advice that can be shared across the whole Armed Forces family.

It is Harry's latest big in along running campaign to improve the lot of Armed Forces heroes.

When it comes to mental health, Prince Harry is quick to break down the "stigmas" associated with it - speaking openly about coping with his mother's death earlier this year, the prince hoped to start a national conversation about mental health.

The partnership is the latest in a series of royal efforts to promote greater understanding around the issue through the work of the Foundation's Heads Together campaign, launched in May past year.

If such advocacy is vital in raising the profile of mental health problems, so are practical measures, and the investment of £2m by the foundation set up by the Royals is another welcome step in signposting help for those in need of it.

"Now is the flawless moment for The Royal Foundation to help kick-start the creation of impactful new tools that will help young people have conversations about their mental health and find the support they need, when they need it".

He said: "The idea is start to get them thinking about their mental fitness so they talk about it in the same way they do about going to the gym for their physical fitness".

The scheme also aims to develop mental health lectures and training for the courses some officer ranks and enlisted ranks - Corporal, Sergeant and Sergeant Major - have to complete to be promoted.

The defence secretary, Sir Michael Fallon, said: "By looking after our mental health we are building a more effective armed forces that helps keep this country safe".

In a speech at the project's launch, he added: "Warfare's often seen in terms of battles of the body".
