The easy-to-recognize player with his afro style has suffered a knee ligament injury while appearing for Belgium in the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Bosnia-Herzegovina last night.

Manchester United is set to visit rivals Liverpool in the eight week of English Premier League at Anfield Stadium on Saturday (14/10/2017) afternoon local time.

The Belgian has enjoyed a rich vein of form lately, scoring four goals in all competitions and adding a further assist for Jose Mourinho's side this season.

But Belgium have now confirmed Fellaini will be out for a couple of weeks after having a scan this morning.

He said: 'We are all anxious about Fellaini.

Marouane Fellaini has been ruled out for at least two weeks after suffering a knee ligament sprain while on worldwide duty.

"We fear that there's ligament damage."

United's forgotten man Ander Herrera may therefore fill in for Fellaini for the three away games.

A furious row is brewing within Old Trafford, claims the Daily Express, with Jose Mourinho said to be "at odds with the club over a new deal for Marouane Fellaini".

Fellaini missed the European trip to CSKA Moscow with a knock he took at Southampton, but will now likely miss the games against Liverpool, Hudderfield (Premier League) and Benfica (UEFA Champions League).

Despite already confirming their place at next summer's World Cup finals, the Red Devils were pretty much at full strength in Sarajevo as the likes of Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen, Eden Hazard and Dries Mertens all started.
