Trump Still Coy on Calm Before the Storm Comment

Sanders said that Trump would announce the new reaction to Iranian moves within the next week.

Trump said that all forces that undermine USA national interests must already be destroyed, and that it remains to be done.

Donald Trump has also been tweeting up a storm this evening about North Korea.

A second reporter asked Trump if the "storm" was in reference to action regarding Iran or the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

President Donald Trump talks with audience members during a Hispanic Heritage Month event in the East Room of the White House, Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, in Washington.

Before they could answer, Trump said, "Maybe it's the calm before the storm".

Thanks for clearing up how counting works for us Donald. Speaking to a crowd of representatives from over 200 Hispanic businesses, community and faith groups gathered in the East Room of the White House, Trump drew out the vowels in the name of the United States territory three times.

That's because he doesn't, a fact made painfully obvious on Friday when he repeatedly said "Puerto Rico" with what we can only assume is his impression of a Spanish accent.

"As we've said many times before, I know the president has, as I have from this podium on quite a few occasions, we're never going to say in advance what the president's going to do". We're going to continue to do that.

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

"We're continuing to put maximum economic and diplomatic pressure on countries like North Korea".

Whatever Stephen Paddock intended when he chose to go on a murderous rampage in Las Vegas on Sunday night, it probably wasn't to stop Donald Trump focusing on North Korea. "Do we have a duty to try and find out what in the world he means, if anything?"
