Chargers Clarify No Empty Seats Covered At StubHub Center With Signage

Rams' attendance decline is NFL's worst in 25 years, and by a wide margin Chargers TV Ratings make History in San Diego

They are 0-3 on the season, and they have lost their last eight games dating back to last season. That's not going to happen in the AFC West this year.

Philadelphia rolled up a season-best 193 yards against the Giants and there is opportunity to do more damage with Los Angeles having its struggles halting opposing rushers. It's understandable for all the hoopla to die down after a team's first season in a new city, but the drop-off should not be this drastic. In the short history between these two teams the Chargers lead the series 7-4. Basically, they'll be Screech.

The Chargers had trouble with Denver Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian's ability to make plays outside the pocket in the season opener, so it will be important for the Bolts' defense to keep Wentz contained.

Now, Bradley will get an opportunity to figure out how to stop him when the Chargers host the Eagles on Sunday at the StubHub Center, with the Bolts still looking for their first win in L.A.

Despite the absence of Jason Verrett, the Chargers' secondary held up pretty well last week against a hot Kansas City Chiefs team. Wide receiver Travis Benjamin earned five receptions for 105 yards. Members of the California-based Courage Campaign, Democracy for America, activists from Black Lives Matter and other organizations participated in the protest ahead of the game, which started around 1 p.m. Demonstrators said they are aiming to re-center the protest on ending police violence against people. The Eagles also will be without key reserves on the defensive line and at cornerback, meaning Philip Rivers should be able to get the offense into a rhythm that doesn't resemble your awkward parents at a wedding.

Last week Philip Rivers threw three interceptions and probably should have had a couple more picked off. Los Angeles was a sleeper, ready to return to the playoffs for the first time since 2013. But going into the season, many thought the Chargers were the better team, and there is still plenty of time for them to prove that. The Chargers need to play clean on special teams and find a way to make a game-changing play. The Eagles' most productive weapon in the passing game, though, is tight end Zach Ertz. He completed just 50 percent of his passes and didn't throw a touchdown. The Chargers pass rush should be a factor again - Philadelphia has allowed 11 sacks.

Another big injury for the Eagles is their young star defensive tackle Fletcher Cox will not play on Sunday. Rivers has been sacked only four times in three games and also has a quick release, so Philadelphia's front four may have a tough time getting to him.
