YU Mobiles, subsidiary of Micromax Informatics, today launched YUREKA 2, a new smartphone addition to its Yureka series. In contrast, the Redmi Note 4's top-end model comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, but it costs Rs. 12,999. Now, Yu hopes to take on the likes of Xiaomi in the affordable smartphone segment with their latest offering, and while many have tried, Yu may actually have a victor on their hands with the Yu Yureka 2! Speaking of cameras, the YU Yureka 2 houses a 16MP rear shoot that comes equipped with dual tone LED flash.

Keeping everything running is a large 3,930 mAh battery which should offer good battery life, and when you do need to charge the phone, you will be able to do so quickly with the device supporting Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. YU now sells YU Yunique 2, YU Yureka Black and YU Yunicorn in the country at Rs 5,999, Rs 8,999 and Rs 10,999 respectively.

"YUREKA 2" is a premium smartphone that brings an immersive viewing experience.

The device will be available on Flipkart during the "Big Billion Day" on September 20. For the front, there is an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. It is priced at Rs 11,999. In terms of connectivity, the device offers dual SIM card slot with 4G LTE and VoLte capability.

One of the major drawbacks of the YU Yureka is the fact that it still runs on Android Marshmallow. There is also a fingerprint sensor below the rear camera which unlocks the device.
