Shkreli is jailed for seeking a strand of Clinton's hair

Financial Times: American businessman Martin Shakirli was jailed for “feeling” Hillary Martin Shkreli's $5M Bail Revoked After Facebook Post Asking For Clinton Hair

A judge jailed former pharmaceuticals company CEO Martin Shkreli on Wednesday after finding that he violated his bail on a securities fraud conviction with a social media posting she agreed posed a threat to Hillary Clinton.

Now, as the Washington Post reports, Shkreli has been sent to jail after calling on his followers to "obtain" a hair from Hillary Clinton's head for $5,000.

But a court in NY decided that Shkreli's offer to pay for a Hillary Clinton hair with the follicle was "solicitation of an assault". I must confirm the sequences I have. "In a follow-up post he attempted to clarify himself, saying, "$5,000 but the hair has to include a follicle.

"U.S. District Judge Kiyo Matsumoto of Brooklyn, New York, said the cash offer was "a solicitation to assault" that is not protected by the First Amendment".

"The fact that he continues to remain unaware of the inappropriateness of his actions or words demonstrates to me that he may be creating ongoing risk to the community".

Shkreli's lawyer argued the post was protected by free speech and said it represented "political satire or strained humour".

"What's amusing about that", Matsumoto responded.

Shkreli, 34, dubbed the "pharma bro" for exploits that include jacking up the price of a life-saving drug by 5,000 percent, was silent and stony-faced as USA marshals led him out of a Brooklyn courtroom.

The judge also pointed to a July post by Shkreli in which he said he would have sex with journalist Lauren Duca as part of a pattern of threatening behavior. Maybe he was going to run her ancestry DNA results for her, we don't know. He has to go in...

The post prompted an investigation by the US Secret Service.

Following a backlash from politicians, patients' rights groups and Twitter users, Shkreli eventually announced his company had agreed to "lower the price of Daraprim to a point that is more affordable and is able to allow the company to make a profit, but a very small profit", ABC News reported at the time.

Brafman suggested that Shkreli, who claims to be a supporter of President Donald Trump, was engaging in "political hyperbole" or "satire" in his comments about both women.

Attorney Ben Brafman said outside court Wednesday he believes the judge "arrived at the wrong decision". Shkreli is now awaiting sentencing for three counts of fraud and could face a total of 20 years in prison. Matsumoto on Wednesday scheduled his sentencing for January 16.
