India Vs Australia – Australia's India Tour Schedule and Detailed Time Table Australia batsman Aaron Finch ruled out of warm-up tie

"He's probably more on the bowling side, I'm on the batting side". Goswami top-scored with 43 while Stoinis, Zampa and James Faulkner took one wicket apiece. Hilton Cartwright (0) was dismissed for a second ball duck by Avesh Khan (1-40) but David Warner (64) and Steven Smith (55) shared a 106 run stand for the second wicket that came off just 86 deliveries to set the tone for the innings.

It was all-rounder Marcus Stoinis and wicket-keeper Matthew Wade who provided the fireworks for Australia in the death-overs. Electing to bat first, Australia posted a mammoth total of 347 for 7 before bowling out Board President's XI for 244 in 48.2 overs. Marcus Stoinis was top-scorer for his side as he slammed 60-ball 76.

"If you're asking me. bloody oath but you'll have to talk to someone who makes a decision", Stoinis said when asked if he would like to be in the Test side.

The lanky pacer further asserted that it has always been a good cricketing rivalry between both the nations and the fans would definitely see some good, tough cricket. "It was mostly about tightening my defence on subcontinent tracks and trying to trust that before going on to attack", said Stoinis. Having been called up to replace the injured Mitchell Marsh midway through this year's tour of India, Stoinis was overlooked completely when Australia's squad for their next Test assignment to Bangladesh was announced in June, despite having had next to no chance to prove himself or lose form in the interceding three months.

Head's knock came at nearly run-a-ball while Stoinis was the aggressor among the two as the visitors were nearing the 300-run mark. The 25-year-old will be eager to start on a bright note against Board President's XI.

This happened during the practice match between India's Board President's XI and Australia, held in Chennai. Stoinis gave credit to Sridharan Sriram he team's spin consultant -for the way his game has shaped up especially on subcontinent tracks. The left-arm tweaker took 4-44 off 8.2 overs as he ripped through the India XI's middle and lower order. It is also about understanding these conditions and what lengths you want to bowl.
