Honor 6 Play Has Now Been Launched: Check Specs and Features

The sub brand of Huawei has launched an entry level device called as the Honor 6 Play which was unveiled along with the Honor V9 Play. The new smartphone from Honor has been priced by the company at CNY 599 (roughly Rs. 5,900) and will be made available for purchase in the country from Thursday. The internal storage of the phone is 16GB and it can be expanded via microSD card up to 128GB.

Technically speaking, the Honor V9 Play features a 5.2 inch HD Display with 2.5D curved glass on top of it, while being powered by MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor paired with a 32 GB internal storage. The phone already runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and is topped by the EMUI 5.1. There's a 13MP sensor at the back with an aperture of f/2.0, PDAF and single LED flash whereas the front camera is an 8MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture.

The Honor 6 Play will come with 3020mAh battery on the rear to power the device and is expected to last an entire day on normal usage.

Out of the two smartphones, Honor V9 Play has a slightly better specifications. The cost of one variant is Rs 9,800 (CNY 999) and the other model is Rs 11,700 (CNY 1,199).

It has the metal uni-body design along with rounded edges, antenna bands, rear fingerprint scanner. The smartphone is all set to go on sale starting Sept 12. At the heart of this new smartphone is a quad-core MediaTek MT6737T processor clocked at 1.4 GHz. At front, the smartphone bears a 5-megapixel shooter with f/2.4 aperture for taking selfies. The display up front is a 5.2-inch HD (720 x1280) IPS panel with quite thin side bezels although the chin and forehead remain.

Connectivity options on Honor 6 Play are LTE, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. The device measures 143.8 x 72 x 8.85mm and weighs 150 grams. The phone comes in Gold, Rose Gold, Red, Blue and Black colors options.
