Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill left practice after suffering an apparent leg injury Thursday.

In the non-contact mishap, Tannehill reportedly fell "awkwardly" while scrambling to the sidelines during a training camp drill. The signal-caller remained down for about 15 seconds before getting up and walking slowly to the locker room. In that case, Matt Moore should get plenty of snaps with the first-team offense going forward.

Tannehill's injury comes just a few days after Dolphins starting running back Jay Ajayi suffered a concussion during practice Monday.

The Miami Dolphins' hopes of making the playoffs may have gone up in flames today during practice. Backup quarterback Matt Moore, who went 2-2 while filling in for Tannehill a year ago, took over first-team reps for the Dolphins for the remainder of practice.

In a game against the Arizona Cardinals last December, Tannehill sprained his ACL and MCL, which ended his 2016 season.

Tannehill went 8-5 as a starter last season while posting a career-best 93.5 passer rating.
