According to Jaguar, the XJR575 can hit 60 miles per hour in just 4.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 186 miles per hour in just 44 seconds.

Not just the XJR but all the XJ derivatives get a number of technology upgrades for 2018 that enhance connectivity with 4G Wi-Fi, capable of handling up to eight devices at a time.

Large gloss black 20-inch alloys are standard that hide a set of bright red brake callipers.

XJ centre consoles now sport a 10-inch touchscreen which acts like a smart phone, allowing users to pinch and swipe when using the sat nav and create short cuts to favourite features.

This XJR575 performance model comes complete with Jaguar's well-known 5.0-litre V8 and now produces 567bhp - an increase over the outgoing XJR's 542bhp, and significantly more than the naturally aspirated 502bhp V8 option. As predicted, it's the more powerful version of the XJ saloon, and it's dubbed the XJR575 - owing to the fact that it now develops 575PS (or, 567bhp).

The updated XJR575 houses the same 5.0-litre, supercharged V8 petrol engine but pack more punch than its predecessor.

The new saloon also includes intelligent safety measures, such as Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist and Driver Condition Monitoring, ensuring every drive in the XJR575 is safe as it is exhilarating.

The XJR575 takes just 44 seconds to reach this top speed from zero. However, that auto is electronically limited to 155mph, while the Jaguar has a 186mph top speed. XJR575s also have a rear spoiler, side sills, a unique front bumper and lower air intakes with gloss black surrounds.

In some news to brighten the Monday of vehicle enthusiasts everywhere, Jaguar now has a new XJR: the XJR575.

Adding a new dimension to its flagship sedan line, the 2018 Jaguar XJR575 is set to roll into USA showrooms late this year with a healthy bump in horsepower complemented by a selection of functional enhancements and cosmetic tweaks. We'll bring you lease prices as soon as they become available.
