The launch of BioWare's Mass Effect Andromeda earlier this year certainly had its issues, from bugs to weird facial and character animation that led to many an internet meme.

BioWare detailed the free trial over on Mass Effect's website stating that players can download the full game and play up to 10 hours in Andromeda's world. This basically means that players won't be able to progress further in the game's single-player mode, even if there are more free hours left to the trial.

Originally, only those with EA Access or Origin Access accounts could try out the game first before its release with a similar 10-hour trial.

Mass Effect: Andromeda had a rough start with critics and players as a result.

As of today, however, anyone with a PC, Xbox One or PS4 can play it. While many say that the game isn't necessarily awful, it didn't meet the standard that people have come to expect from previous Mass Effect games.

Players will be able to experience Mass Effect: Andromeda with all of the recent patches and updates. However the only requirement (besides hardware requirements) is that you will need Origin, which is EA's equivalent of Steam in order to get your hands on the free trial.

Whatever progression you achieve during the demo will then carry over to the full game should you decide to make the purchase.
