Officials are searching for an armed and risky man after a shooting left three people dead in a Gardendale, Alabama, mobile home on the morning of Wednesday, July 12.

Lever had been living in Santa Rose County, Florida, and police believe he may be returning to that area.

Later Wednesday, Gardendale Police announced the suspect is believed to be in a red 2017 Nissan Sentra with a Georgia tag (RGC6858).

The protection order was issued in Jefferson County, Alabama, the same county as the triple homicide on Wednesday.

The search for Lever initially focused in woods near the Peachtree Crossings mobile home community, where the shootings occurred, but Walker later said police believed he had left the area.

At the time, Lever's wife ex-wife claimed that the man was abusing her 11-year-old daughter during unsupervised visitation.
