A newly-released trailer features The Tick (Peter Serafinowicz) and Arthur (Griffin Newman) taking on risky enemies, including Jackie Earle Hayley's The Terror, who was revealed to have had a major impact on young Arthur's childhood in the pilot.

It's been 16 years since FOX's Patrick Warburton-starring live-action The Tick series aired, and it seems like it has been that long since we first heard about the latest attempt to bring the character back to television. The show is based on the comic of the same name by Ben Edlund, who is heavily involved both as a writer and executive producer. Having seen the pilot for Amazon's reboot, I will admit that I really, really like Serafinowicz in the role of the near-indestructible hero who can spout wise words of wisdom like: "Murder, it's just not cool". Once again, he's joined by a mild-mannered new sidekick named Arthur, played by Griffin Newman.

Season 1 of "The Tick" will be released in two parts on Amazon. The pair officially made their debut on August 15, 2016, when Amazon Prime made the pilot episode available to stream. The Amazon adaptation is Edlund's third time out of the gate, and the second live-action version - but if the pilot and this trailer are any indication, the creator has absolutely nailed it this time around. But if you are looking for a more irreverent and knowingly silly take on the superhero genre, The Tick is a refreshing change of pace. As he struggles to uncover this conspiracy, he falls in league with a odd blue superhero.
