Actor Andy Serkis now stars as "Caesar" in the latest film, War for the Planet of the Apes. He explained how motion capture works, and we get to see him delivering a speech as Caesar, the top ape in the movie.

Serkis effortlessly slipped into the memorable character to read the tweets, which included his now-famous typo: "despite the constant negative press covfefe".

Just when we thought there was no way to make light of Donald Trump's immature and appalling Twitter antics, along comes Gollum from Lord of the Rings, and we can't stop cracking up. Purposely incorrect stories and phony sources to meet their agenda of hate. "Wait, what's covfefe, precious?" he asked.

"I would love if I could hear either Smeagol or Gollum read these tweets by Donald Trump", Colbert asked.

Trump's infamous tweets have already been read aloud by the likes of Mark Hamill as the Joker (multiple times) and Billy West's doofus Captain Zapp Brannigan from Futurama.

"No one knows!" Colbert responded before truthfully adding, "They actually sound better that way".

Directed and co-written by Matt Reeves (Cloverfield, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), War for the Planet of the Apes stars Andy Serkis, Woody Harrelson, Steve Zahn, Amiah Miller, Karin Konoval, Judy Greer and Terry Notary.
