A swimmer was bitten by a shark Sunday at Haulover Beach in Miami-Dade County, reports say.

According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue spokesperson Erika Benitez, lifeguards advised swimmers to get out of the water when they became aware of a shark lurking nearby.

Footage shows two men trying to pull the small tiger shark that was hooked on a fishing line towards the shore near Johnnie Mercer's pier in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina on June 29.

Felipe Lay said the unidentified man was swimming in the afternoon off Haulover Beach when he was attacked, according to WPLG-TV. "The person was able to get out of the water, and MDFR Ocean Rescue lifeguards immediately rendered assistance".

The beachgoer was bitten on his legs by what was described as a 4 to 5-foot bull shark. The man, whose name was not released, was exiting the waters when he was bitten in both legs by a shark.

The man was alert when he was taken to the hospital, authorities said.

"It's extremely rare", Lt. Matthew Sparling said. An unnamed man in Florida just woke up to a double nightmare in real life when he was attacked by a shark at a nude beach. "People who survive all but the least damaging shark attacks got immediate help from others".
