"2 Individual embraced shahadat including a girl and 3 citizens were injured", the ISPR said in its statement.

They died in Gulpur area, police said.

Sources said militants fired from AK-47 rifles towards the army patrol.

The injured army men were evacuated to army hospital in Srinagar for specialized treatment.

An on-leave soldier and his wife were killed today in a cross-border firing from Pakistan on the death anniversary of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani.
