Bernie Sanders, Wife Jane Sanders Under FBI Investigation, Hired Defense Lawyers

Sanders No president has ever lied as much as Trump Sanders warns: Trump leading nation toward authoritarianism

The top political adviser to Bernie Sanders has confirmed the senator and his wife have hired defense lawyers amid a federal probe, according to Politico Magazine.

According to the 2016 article, the college racked up more that $11 million in debt over the attempts to expand the college, which was "pushed by the school's president at the time", Jane Sanders.

Last month, Kemberlee blogged about Bernie Sanders' wife, Jane, being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation for alleged fraud related to a $10 million loan obtained for the now-defunct Burlington College.

Toensing asked federal prosecutors to investigate whether Ms. Sanders had knowingly misrepresented fundraising numbers, committing federal bank fraud. Sanders' office tried inappropriately to get the bank to approve the loan.

Burlington attorney and Sanders supporter Rich Cassidy has reportedly been hired to represent Sen. Sanders has called all of the allegations "nonsense".

As Politico notes, the department will decide whether to prosecute Jane Sanders, the wife of one of Trump's more outspoken opponents. The college closed for good in 2016.

"Is she allowed to so collude?" the President asked.

Sanders, who was the runner-up for the Democratic nomination in last year's presidential election made his harsh remarks of the Trump administration in a speech he delivered Thursday morning in which he discussed the threat of authoritarianism in the #United States and other countries around the world. "Let me leave it at that, because it would be improper at this point for me to say anything more".

"My only hope is for a fair, impartial, and thorough investigation", Mr. Toensing added.

In Columbus, Sanders trolled Portman, who has expressed concerns over the Senate GOP legislation that he himself helped craft in a secret Senate working group, with some advice: "If you don't believe what I'm saying, listen to your own governor, John Kasich".

"You don't have a health care bill by throwing off millions of people off health insurance", he said, the Gazette-Mail reported.

"The goal of this whole legislation of raising premiums for older workers, of defunding Planned Parenthood, denying 2.5 million women the choice of doctors [is] to provide $500 billion in tax breaks for the top 2 percent, for the insurance companies, for the drug companies and other major corporations", Sanders said.
