Most people are looking forward to seeing the Galaxy Note 8 implement this technology.

If Samsung can return the scanner to the same position as its Galaxy S7 phone it could put this device another step ahead of the S8 and help to take on the upcoming iPhone 8. Given that the United States will be unlikely to see it within the next couple of months it could take quite a few months to roll out to other parts of the world.

Samsung had apparently tried to incorporate an in-display sensor onto its Galaxy S8 but in vain.

Said product was videotaped demonstrating this highly anticipated feature, and the footage leaked online, though of course, we can't rule out trickery of some sort based on such a short, fuzzy recording.

It's also worth bearing in mind that the front panels you see in the videos and images above may be of a prototype design that Samsung has since modified or discarded.

However, Naver reportedly learned from a Samsung executive that due to "technical limitations such as security", the company has ultimately decided not to implement in-display fingerprint authentication after all.

Also, much like the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S8, the iPhone 8 may incorporate a bezel-less design and have its fingerprint scanner buried beneath the screen. It could be embedded within the display which would distinguish the Galaxy Note 8 from Galaxy S8. The company initially planned that it would come pre-loaded with its latest Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus flagships.

Last year, the Galaxy Note 7 shipped with the same hardware specs as the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.

The English version of Bixby, an advanced voice recognition system that comes on the Galaxy S8 and its variant Galaxy S8 Plus, is likely to be launched in the USA and taken to other English-speaking countries, Yonhap news agency reported.

In terms of cameras, we expect to see a dual-lens setup on the back, but the exact details of the lenses to be used remain unclear.

Improved battery and more processing power are also expected, making this one of the most powerful phones on the market.

Samsung has high hopes for its in-house Bixby voice assistant. Samsung notes that participation is limited, so you should move quickly. Some rumors have pointed towards a mid-August launch date and others are in favor of an end of August launch date, with the phone's availability beginning in early September.
