Proposition 2, to purchase four 66-passenger buses at a maximum cost of $474,612, - 75.2 percent paid for by NY state - passed, 676-261. Jay Deitchman got 80 votes in his unopposed run for school board.

Superintendent Larry Ljungberg told the Olean Times Herald that nearly all residents who voted down the budget and completed exit poll surveys complained about aspects of the capital project in the surveys.

The Randolph Central School District proposed a 2017-18 budget of $20,294,455 - a 19.20 percent increase from 2007-08. Stanley Swears got 139 votes for school board.

The district has reserves to cover the difference, but those will start to diminish for next year if the funds never arrive. The single school board candidate, Karl Gockel, got 115.

A proposition regarding a $9 million capital project was also approved by voters, 811-231. The school board seats went to the two running, Amy Burnsworth with 506 and Daniel Buttermann with 489. The library proposition also passed 143-21. Voters approved the budget, with 142 voting in favor and 83 voting against.

In Stamford, the budget passed 94-27.

Todd McFee (179 votes), Jeffrey L. Jones (173) and David Przestrzelski (161) were all re-elected to three-year school board terms. District voters who live north of Route 5 vote at Robert Morris, if you live south of Route 5, you vote at Batavia High School. Kim Jastremski trailed with 272, as Jeffrey Woeppel with 246 and Bruce Markusen with 148. Board members had questions about those.

Bridgehampton's $14.36 million budget sailed through with 102 voting for it and 74 voting no.

The Frewsburg Central School District proposed a 2017-18 budget of $18,217,558 - a 36.15 percent increase from 2007-08.

The third candidate, Max Medwin, was not elected after garnering 355 votes. Newcomer Jason Meyers secured 742 votes and current member Christopher Peters receiving 733.
