Leicester manager Craig Shakespeare insisted he was satisfied with a point despite watching his team squander a two-goal lead when they drew 2-2 at Crystal Palace.

Goals from Yohan Cabaye and Christian Benteke were enough for Sam Allardyce's side as they moved up to 15th in the Premier League table.

Palace v Leicester is included in this weekend's Super 6 line-up, with £250,000 up for grabs again following jackpot wins in the last two rounds.

Five wins out of six is impressive in any language and although perhaps at their most dominant against Arsenal on Monday night, that did come against a rival who do not need much of a nudge at the moment to topple over in spectacular fashion.

The contest did not initially go to form, though, and Huth put the visitors ahead after just six minutes, before Vardy's goal finally stirred Allardyce's charges into life.

Leicester have the chance to make amends and extend their incredible European run when they host Atletico in the second leg on Tuesday.

"It is Palace's issue now and problem how to get him playing consistently".

There was anxiety to endure over the last few minutes here as Leicester City, infuriated at having cast away a two-goal lead so wastefully, flung everything at the hosts in their eagerness to force a victor.

In the 17th minute leading goalscorer Benteke had a close-range shot smothered clear by Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel at his near post.

However, Shakespeare said that benchmark could be misleading.

"We need to concentrate on Palace and try to get those points".

However, the club are hopeful that he will return to the side on Tuesday with Leicester going through a bit of a centre-back crisis at the moment. "We should be pleased with a point". Another game gone and it is precious because it keeps our run going. The group are in a good shape and we showed that today with some great character especially after their lead, we came back in the game well and as I say disappointed not to have taken more.

The threat appeared to lie at the other end of the pitch when Palace winger Andros Townsend swung in a corner, but a headed clearance landed at the feet of Riyad Mahrez, who set Vardy free deep into the Palace half with a long ball.
