An explosion tore through a train as it was traveling between two stations in Russia's second-biggest city, injuring dozens more.

Russia's Federal Security Service said Monday that it has arrested a suspected organizer of the suicide bombing in the St. Petersburg subway that killed 14 passengers.

The FSB said Abror Azimov was detained in Moscow suburb of Odintsovo.

He was named by the FSB identified as Abror Azimov, 26, from ex-Soviet Central Asia.

Earlier this month, six people from Central Asia were detained in St Petersburg on suspicion of recruiting for Daesh and aiding "terrorist activity".

Djalilov's DNA had been matched to a bomb left at a second metro station defused by authorities. Now, there are 38 people hospitalized, and a lot of them with wounds from splinters of the bomb.

RIA reported that the FSB described him in a statement as one of the organisers of the attack and said he had trained Jalilov.

Russian Federation was once a hotspot for terror attacks, but the country has experienced relatively few in recent years. Azimov, 27 years old, who was interrogated by the Russian Investigations Committee, is a member of the group of people involved in an attack with dynamite that was carried out on April 3. In 2002, Chechen rebels killed 170 hostages in a theater in the capital, Moscow.
