Nokia 6 starts getting Android 7.1.1 Nougat update

The Nokia 6 smartphone is benefitting from the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update.

This update carries the build number '00CN_3_170′ and is said to be 369 MB in size.

The firmware OTA (over-the-air) update also enhances power saving and background management, supports 4G/3G dual sim dual standby, and with Google security patch for the month of April. Of course, given the fact that the Nokia 6 previously ran on Android 7.0, users will also get all the features that were new in the 7.1 version.

Nokia 6 Android 7.1.1 Nougat Update: What's New? It also updates Nokia USB driver and version of pre-loaded applications. Nokia 6 users will now have access to all of these. All of these models are rumored to see a worldwide launch by the end of the second quarter of 2017.

HMD Global has shared that the global variant of the Nokia 6 will be released this spring, which includes the United States.

It comes with 4GB of RAM, and 32GB/64GB internal storage, which can be further expandable up to 128GB via microSD.

According to a recent report from NPU, Nokia 9 will be the flagship smartphone that the Finnish company is going to release. The selfie camera is said to have a 12-megapixel shooter, while the phone could come with a 3,800mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0.
