HTC U will be the third phone in its U series, following the HTC U Play and HTC U Ultra, which launched in January.

Blass is generally one of the most reliable leakers, so while there's no way to confirm the picture and specs as accurate, we're fairly sure Blass is on the money here - but use the usual caution as this is still an unconfirmed leak.

The upcoming smartphone looks a lot like, the U Ultra, with its all glass exterior.

Android Headlines has reported that the information in the leaked material suggests that the users will need to perform a short squeeze so that the Edge Sense will start to perform certain tasks, such as the Camera or turning on the Wi-Fi Hotspot.

The upcoming smartphone will come powered with the newest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM options. The front is also similar, although the difference here will be in the existence of the secondary ticker display on top which we cannot spot on the live image.

It will also apparently feature a 5.5-inch 2560 x 1440 QHD display.

It also looks like there'll be a physical home button on the front of the device - so no rear fingerprint scanner as with the Galaxy S8, then. HTC U might also integrate a special Sense AI Assistant to challenge the likes of Samsung Bixby, Google Assistant, Apple Siri, etc.

Visit HTC's website right now and you will see the company's high-end phones getting reduced to far more affordable prices than what they were originally being sold for.

On the camera front, the upcoming HTC U smartphone is expected to come with a pretty much similar camera specifications like that of the HTC U Ultra.

The HTC U is rumored to be set for a mid to late April reveal.
