Meanwhile, it has previously been reported the songwriter - whose full name was Prince Rogers Nelson - had predicted his own death and he had been preparing for his final end. Almost a year after Prince died from an accidental d.

Last October, a court order extended the seal on the search warrants and accompanying documents involved in the Prince death investigation until April 17, 2017.

The B12 detail was included in a detective's affidavit seeking one of the search warrants. The medical examiner's office said his death was the result of an accidental overdose of the opioid fentanyl.

They don't reveal answers, but do shed light on Prince's struggle with addiction to prescription opioids in the days before he died.

Advocates of the drug say the opiate can help addicted patients by offering pain relief with reduced possibility of overdose and addiction.

April 21, 2016: Shortly after arriving at Paisley Park about 9:30 a.m., Andrew Kornfeld and two Prince staffers - longtime friend Kirk Johnson and personal assistant Meron Bekure - find Prince's body in an elevator.

Just six days before he died, Prince fell ill on a plane and made an emergency stop in IL as he returned from a gig in Atlanta. He was treated with a shot of Narcan.

A search of Prince's home yielded numerous pills in various containers.

"Many of those areas where the pills were located would be places Prince would frequent, such as his bedroom and wardrobe/laundry room", one document said.

Aleve bottle with 20 1/2 white pills labeled Watson 853, an imprint on generic pills that contain acetaminophen and hydrocodone bitartrate. There are two likely possibilities: Either a pharmaceutical manufacturer mislabeled the pills, or the pills were illegally manufactured and obtained illegally. Johnson, a longtime drummer for Prince and estate manager at Paisley Park who was among those who discovered the musician's body April 21, 2016, is one of the key figures investigators want to interview in relation to his death. The day before Prince died, Paisley Park staffers contacted the California addiction specialist as they were trying to get Prince help.

As for Dr. Schulenberg, he left his job at North Memorial Medical Center almost three weeks after Prince's death. Schulenberg has an active medical license and is now practicing family medicine in Minnesota.

Investigators haven't interviewed either Johnson or Schulenberg since the hours after Prince died, an official with knowledge of the investigation told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing.

Prince did not have a cellphone, and authorities searched multiple email accounts that belonged to him, as they tried to determine who he was communicating with and where he got the drugs that killed him, according to the search warrants. Prince admitted that he had taken painkillers, according to search warrants.

According to reports, law enforcement found bundles of bags, envelopes, and even a suitcase filled with medication, which also contained the lyrics to his 1992 hit track "U Got The Look", at his Paisley Park estate in Minnesota. Kornfeld can not clear his schedule to fly to Minnesota immediately, so he sends his son, Andrew, on an overnight flight.

Mauzy said the mission Andrew Kornfeld was sent on was consistent with the work he has done for his father's clinic for years. Authorities haven't yet charged anyone in the case.
