Great interest should be present when he is officially placed on the trade block since he remains a great scorer and is still one of the best forwards in the National Basketball Association today.

He met with Anthony a day earlier, a meeting he said was cordial.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, Jackson's public comments were the straw that broke the camel's back and caused a long-brewing rebellion amongst the players.

Jackson took the blame for the Knicks' struggles for about five seconds during his candid 49-minute interview and then distributed it everywhere else. According to Bleacher Report, just minutes after Jackson's conference ended, Anthony posted a photo.

"I never took a jump shot", Jackson said, "never made a substitution, but the buck stops here".

After the Knicks final game on Wednesday, he said he would be "open" to being traded.

Things seem to be worse among the rest of the Knicks team in regards to their feelings about Jackson and his triangle offense.

"Everything has got to be possible, and we have to make sure that if people have something to say, we listen to it, we examine it", Jackson said before complimenting Porzingis for his development this season. He also alluded to a chasm between Hornacek and his staff and the players. They have an ill-suited mix of veterans and young players who haven't proven capable of playing together, a coach without the freedom to coach how he likes, a president the players don't like, an unhappy star player, and unhappy future face of the franchise. Jackson had plans to install him as the full-time head coach, but decided against it and went with Jeff Hornacek.

"I think there's disconnect sometimes with this team and I think there was some rebelliousness with this team that created some of the discord during the year".

"I probably will (be seen as meddling)", he said. We're starting to get some players on the court we can do that.

The Knicks mess might somehow be worse than we initially thought.

There's nothing better than having the one player the fans are excited about openly rebelling against the drama and utter dysfunction that is pervading the Knicks organization these days - the same as it has throughout the past 15 years.
