Google's Home speaker could soon support multiple accounts

Google Assistant shopping lists moving from Keep to Home app starting April 10 Google Assistant Shopping List Will No Longer Be Saved in Keep Starting April 10

Google Home has been gradually becoming more useful for shopping over the past few months, allowing users to shop and order items through Express by uttering voice commands. The new feature has been highly anticipated and is significant if a Google Home is planned to be used by different people in a household. You can simply add something to the list and be taken there, access the list through a Favourite in your browser, or open up the Google Home, slide out the Nav drawer and hit "Shopping List".

In the Discover section of the app, a window has appeared that claims "Multiple users now supported". It is certainly a welcome move by Google, which will benefit users by having multiple accounts signed in simultaneously - a feature that is already available on Amazon Echo.

The accompanying Google Home app just displays a card notifying Google Home owners that multiple users are now supported, but the feature has not actually gone live yet. The innovative gear will now have multiple accounts and can be operated by multiple users. With the update, more than one user will be able to get personalized responses when they asked questions about their schedule. Furthermore, there must be a technology which will switch between accounts on the fly or at least switch the accounts without users interference in the app. Multiple users could have access to the device that is placed in the home. Each user would likely be able to load their own profiles and when Google Home is prompted by a user, it should know who it's talking to. Should we hear back, we will update this article or create a new one.

Another rumor is that Google plans on developing a hybrid version of the Google Home that is also a Google Wi-Fi hotspot.

We'll keep an ear to the ground for more information on this highly anticipated Google Home feature.

However, now that multi-user support is out of the bag, we should have more details very soon.
