"Pepsi was trying to project a global message of unity, peace and understanding".

"When you wake up and realize that shit just really doesn't make sense!" the pop star wrote alongside a video of the pulled ad.

During a city council meeting in Portland Wednesday, a man identifying himself as Carlos Enrique who claimed he was a journalist invoked the ad while "interviewing" to Mayor Ted Wheeler and began discussing how the leader of the OR city faces backlash from the public. "[But] this cultural appropriation stuff is really starting to make me insane".

During a discussion of the controversy sparked by Kendall Jenner's new Pepsi ad during Thursday's "The View", the moderator delivered a message to some of the spot's most vocal critics.

"This the first controversial campaign she has been involved with", a source familiar with Kendall's contract with Pepsi told ET. The source continued, "This is not a career breaker for her".

The supermodel and soda company were criticized for trivializing the Black Lives Matter movement with their protest commercial, prompting the clip to be pulled and an apology to be issued to poor Kenny.

She praised Pepsi for pulling the advert, and called for the company to engage with the King Center to find out more about "the topics of social symbolism, race and responsibility, and presentations of privilege". "But today it seems like everyone has come together to join the protest against the new protest ad from Pepsi". She joins the crowd, which approaches a line of police officers.

Pepsi removed the video and apologized to customers - and Jenner - in a statement.

"'Live for now, ' especially if you're Pepsi's marketing department, because I don't think you guys are going to be there for long", he said.

It doesn't quite matter that Bjorn intended the imagery to be reminiscent of the 1967 flower power woman when we're in a period of constant protest and unrest.

"You also take the risk of possibly losing customers", Haecherl said.
