Google has released the Android O Developer Preview 1 images for the public and developers to test out. We'll have to wait until Google I/O to see the bigger user-facing updates. Java 8 Language APIs and runtime optimizations: Android now supports several new Java Language APIs, including the new java.time API. Moreover, the new beta update also bring a lot of new features for the Nexus 6P and Pixel C devices.

But unless you have a very recent Nexus or Pixel device and are courageous enough to flash the images yourself, you'll have to wait for the final release or, at the very least, an OTA update from the Beta program.
