Marvel Vice President, Ryan Penagos has said that Insomniac's officially undated Spider-Man game will be released this year.

Have you been looking forward to a new Spider-Man game?

Insomniac announced the game at E3 2016, and the studio confirmed that it was running on a regular PS4, so it should look even more slick on a PS4 Pro.

Homecoming is going to be out this month, and it was a collaborative effort between Marvel and Sony, we can assume that the PS4 Exclusive Spider-Man game will be inspired by the film.

The game, which was announced during an E3 presentation past year and doesn't have an official title, was brought up in a livestream captured by a Reddit user.

In the clip, Penagos also reconfirmed that Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite, the latest entry in the long-running crossover fighting game series would be coming out this year for PC, Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.

"There's even more on the horizon for 2017", Penagos says. "How do we help our partners make the game better?'" That last comment will make some of you very happy, but Caroll was quick to point out that Venom may not get the chance to make the leap into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the near future due to that upcoming solo outing. With E3 just a few months away, expect to hear more about it around the convention, which runs from June 13-15.
