A pregnant middle school teacher in Roanoke, Texas, has been arrested after she was accused of having sex multiple times with a 15-year-old male student.

An arrest warrant was acquired after it was claimed that Katherine Ruth Harper sent nude photos and had sex with the student over the summer holiday.

His phone was seized by police.

Katherine Harper, 27, is charged with orchestrating the improper relationship, which allegedly included the exchange of naked text messages with the teen.

Police said the pair had communicated 76 times in June and July a year ago, with their sexual encounters occurring during that time, sometimes involving alcohol.

A school official confronted the boy with questions about the relationship, he cried and admitted to sex with the teacher. At that time, the teen performed a sex act on Harper, according to the affidavit.

Harper is eight-months pregnant, but an arrest affidavit doesn't state whether the 15-year-old is the baby's father, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

The warrant includes the boy's explicit description of one sexual encounter: "One thing led to another and she told me to "put it in" and I did," he said. "So we're not sure what that leads to", Trophy Club Police Chief Patrick Arata said.

Harper has been released on a $15,000 bond. They reopened the case in December and Harper was placed on administrative leave.

The Northwest Independent School District is one of the largest districts in the region and serves students from three counties - Tarrant, Denton, and Wise, according to the school's website.

Katherine Harper, 27, was accused of having an improper relationship between an educator and student, which is a second-degree felony in Texas.

The Star Telegram reported that an earlier tip was investigated and closed because officials didn't have the name of the student or teacher.
