Ford Motor Company is issuing a safety compliance recall for approximately 52,000 2017 Ford F-250 gasoline-powered 6.2-liter vehicles for unintended vehicle movement while in park. Nevertheless, this is a brief reminder for every driver that they should engage the parking brake irrespective of the fact that there is a recall or not.

The affected vehicles are gasoline-powered 6.2-liter engine vehicles built at the Kentucky Assembly Plant from October 9, 2015 to March 30, 2017.

The Ford logo is seen on a vehicle.

Ford has recalled nearly 5000 vehicles in Australia fitted with its EcoBoost engines, due to the risk of an engine fire.

Ford says drivers should use the parking brake to make sure that parked cars don't move. A total of 4,143 of the affected vehicles were sold in Canada, while the rest were sold in the U.S. The Ford referencenumber for this recall is 17C96.

Earlier this week, Ford announced that they are bound to recall 230,000 Escapes, Fusions, Transit Connects and Fiesta STs due to possible engine fires. Dealers will fix the trucks for free, but say they don't have the parts they need to do so yet.

Affected vehicles include 2014 Ford Fiestas, 2013 and 2014 Ford Fusions and 2013 and 2014 Lincoln MKZ vehicles. A door that opens while driving increases the risk of injury.

To date, Ford reported it is not aware of any accidents or injuries caused by the problem.
