Trump's Approval Rating Hits New Record Low

According to a Fox News poll released last Wednesday, Trump's approval rating dropped 5 points since last month.

Vice President Mike Pence's combined approval rating-those who strongly approve and somewhat approve-was marginally higher than Trump's, 45.5 percent compared with 44.1 percent.

Now this is the point when the president and his supporters might come forth with their usual derision of worthless polls that got it so wrong in the November election.

President Donald Trump has a ratings problem, and we're not talking about the New Celebrity Apprentice.

Trump's worst approval ratings come as heads of U.S. intelligence agencies began testifying before a Congressional Committee Monday about Russia's involvement in the presidential election.

Richard Nixon: In July 1974, Nixon had a 24 percent approval rating before his resignation due to the Watergate scandal.

The hosts of New Day were speaking with Philip Rucker on Monday morning in order to discuss the upcoming House Intelligence Committee meeting over the president's claims of being wiretapped.

The same data found more than half of these younger voters don't see Trump's presidency as legitimate.

There's also a gap in how much people think Trump's standing among foreign leaders matters.

The American public is even less impressed with their new president now that he's taken office.

Although a larger percentage of likely voters still show disapproval of Donald Trump's job performance, the number of likely voters who approve is on a steady increase from five days ago.

President Trump again targeted CNN Monday, tweeting surprise that the network still conduct its own polling despite its 2016 election polls being "a WAY OFF disaster".
