Tiger Woods stays determined to compete at the Masters early next month, ascertaining he is "trying everything" in preparation for the competition.

While the jury is still out on whether Woods will make a return at Augusta this year, it would be the third time he's missed the tournament in four years, he did have a little pep in his step and beat Strahan in a putting contest. It's the first major I ever played back in '95.

Tiger Woods says he is "trying everything" to whip his battered body into shape for Augusta, but we're not holding our breath that the victor of four Masters titles will actually make it to the tee for the men's first major of the season that kicks off in a little more than two weeks.

Woods first won the Masters in 1997 by a massive 12-strokes becoming the tournament's youngest ever victor at 21. "It has meant so much to me in my life", he added. I'm trying. I'm trying everything I can do to be able to get back and play.

"I need to get back physically", said Woods, 41.

However, instead of practicing for the Masters, Woods is on a publicity tour to promote his new book.

Woods, the father of two young children, said it is not just his physical difficulties alone that are preventing him from earning the green jacket at The Masters once again.

"I still got to drive home after this", said Bowers, who was sporting a Pirates baseball cap, SC sweatshirt, jeans and a beard that would make "Duck Dynasty" cast members jealous. "I know the mind is sharp". Woods pulled out after the first round and the next three tournaments because of ongoing back problems.

Woods did say in an interview with USA Today that he will attend the Masters Champions Dinner on April 4, whether he can play in the event or not.

"My priorities have changed a lot". "My kids now dominate my life and I think that's a good thing". "Hes gotten treatments and is progressing and hoping he can do it. Theres not been a decision one way or the other".

He last won the Masters in 2005, and his last major championship victory was the 2008 US Open at Torrey Pines. Getting the prep time.
