Substitutes Marko Pjaca and Dani Alves scored within two minutes of each other at the Estadio do Dragao, and Gianluigi Buffon posted the clean sheet to give Juventus the 2-0 lead that it caries to Tuesday's clash in Turin.

In European competition, they are unbeaten in their last 20 home games since losing 0-2 to Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals in April 2013.

Although Juventus remain on course for a third consecutive league and Cup double, their real focus this season is on making amends for a 3-1 final defeat to Barcelona in 2015. "So I have two questions, one at right-back and one in the middle".

The Portuguese leaders, who have won their past nine league matches, have won only one of their previous nine Champions League second-leg matches away from home.

Porto's lingering hopes ended when Maximiliano Pereira stopped Juve striker Gonzalo Higuain's goalbound shot with his hands and was sent off, leaving Dybala to dispatch the penalty with aplomb three minutes before halftime.

Massimiliano Allegri's side progressed from the Round of 16 with a 3-0 victory on aggregate and maintained its impressive record at the Juventus Stadium.

Now Allegri's side must surely be prioritising another Champions League success - which would be their first since 1996 - in order to cement their place alongside the best Juve teams in history. Paulo Dybala converted the penalty and the tie was over, with Porto's poor finishing helping to put a lid on things.

Trailing 2-0 from the first leg, it was always going to be an uphill task for Porto against the five-time defending Serie A champion. They didn't let that happen, instead letting Porto wear them down and waiting for opportunities and mistakes - opportunities and mistakes that they exploited ruthlessly en route to a win made incredibly easy by that tactical decision to hang back a bit.

"I am happy with the win and to get to the next round but now all of the games are hard, we'll see who will face in the draw but the team is playing well". "Everyone has to defend, from the centre-forward to the goalkeeper, so that we can get convincing wins".

"I have great teammates who want to win it as well, and teammates who have already won it, so we're all fired-up to try and lift this trophy".
