Although Kuo never predicted the type of biometric system that will be used in the iPhone 8, he still remained hopeful that Apple won't compromise the security of this phone just to maintain the aesthetics. Wunderlich Capital Managemnt now owns 16,011 shares of the iPhone maker's stock valued at $1,531,000 after buying an additional 420 shares during the last quarter. As for release dates, current rumors suggest the special edition device will be released later on in the year after the launch of the iPhone 7S and 7S Plus. Here are eight of the most notable ones. The upcoming iPhone 8 is expected to have a price tag of around $1000. The technology was thrust into the limelight when it was first featured in Apple's iPhone 6S in 2015.

According to reports, Apple has already named its most awaited 10th-anniversary flagship iPhone. The new iPhone is still expected to be a big departure from the iPhone 7's design, which has been the same since the iPhone 6 debuted in 2014.

There's little doubt that Apple would like to adopt curved OLED (if nothing else so as not to be left behind), but Apple is also undoubtedly looking to the future, and planning what will go into whatever device follows the iPhone 8 come the nearly inevitable 2018 refresh. Tech fans are expecting an IP68 water and dust resistant feature for the device.

At the time of publication, there are conflicting reports about the device's display. Moreover, it will also have an L-Shaped battery, and a larger battery pack.

The fact that Apple plans to feature a 5.8-inch O-LED screen on the iPhone 8 is also a bonus for the phone.

Apple's homegrown A-series chips have a pretty good reputation of being able to stand toe-to-toe with the best that the smartphone industry could offer. The exact power of the A11 processor remains unknown, but speculations are high that the chip would at least be as powerful as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC.

Apple is rumored to be contemplating to release a 5.8-inch iPhone in 2017 to give tough competition to other OEMs. Given its premium outlook and built, it is being hinted that the handset will cost something around $1,000.

iPhones have always been noted for their fast download and upload speeds even when utilizing mobile data. The Company's products and services include iPhone, iPad, Mac, iPod, Apple TV, a portfolio of consumer and professional software applications, the iOS and OS X operating systems, iCloud, and a variety of accessory, service and support offerings. As the iPhone 8 launch approaches, buyer interest may go up or down depending on whether rumors circulating ahead of the launch live up to the initial hype.
