When reached by USA TODAY, the Los Angeles Police Department would not confirm the singer was involved, but Sgt. Jack Richter noted, "there is no ambulance" at the scene of the accident. TMZ claims the singer "was driving a white Mercedes SUV and was making a left turn when a grey Volvo SUV slammed into the front passenger side of the vehicle".

Ciara announced her pregnancy on her birthday last October.

Ciara is the wife of Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. She also has a 2-year-old son, Future Zahir Wilburn, from a previous relationship with rapper Future. Ciara and the other driver exchanged insurance information, adds TMZ, "but neither of them was seriously injured". "We're told Ciara was clutching her chest and shoulder", the site reports, but a source for People affirms Ciara's rep's statement to Gossip Cop and says "she's fine".

The crash comes days after Ciara shared some topless pics from her new photo shoot for Harper's Bazaar.

"Ciara and the baby are doing well". I love you, baby.

Ciara's vehicle was seen parked on a corner of Wilshire Boulevard. "Bye, bye." Then he'll kiss me on my belly and put my shirt back down'.
