Villa wrote on Instagram of the custom-made get-up by designer Andre Soriano, "Sometimes you just got to be free to express yourself". The gown proclaimed "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN" on the front, while its back spelled/yelled out "T R U M P".

When Donald Trump is away, his supporters come out and play. This year, Villa pushed things further than ever-even though she was significantly more covered up than in years past.

When asked by Yahoo Finance whether she received backlash about the dress from guests at the Grammys, Villa claimed that some people whispered to her, "I voted for him too", but recalled one guy saying, "I wish I could step on it". She also wrote about forgetting problems and focusing on the future. The five-song project is also in the top spot on iTunes' Top Albums chart. "It's more so about love".

"We all live on this planet", he said. I've never been in the political arena. "However, it's just so insane that people are getting beat up because they voted for Trump...", The Hollywood Reporter reported Soriano, as saying. "America is about immigrants", the designer added.

"There was a lot of controversy around the president and a lot of hate honestly, and I wanted to change the narrative", Villa said.

"Thanks you I hope you enjoy tonight's @grammyawards2017 and keep in mind to forget your problems and focus on your future!"

Soriano skirted questions regarding the meat of his political beliefs, but said he is a proud American and believes that he is an example of the American dream.

A singer who sported a President Trump-inspired dress to the Grammy Awards is seeing a sudden spike in sales. Supporters of the United States president were impressed with Villa's gown while others were skeptical with Villa's choice of fashion at the Grammys. "You either stand up for what you believe or fall for what you don't".

If you hadn't heard of Joy Villa before the 2017 Grammys, you certainly have by now. Let us know in the comments section below.
