India unchanged for first two Australia tests

Ashwin cracks 250-wicket milestone in quickest time Indian Cricket Team is Tough Nut to Crack for Australian Team

Former skipper Steve Waugh has warned that Australia's only hope of beating India in their upcoming series is by taming Ravichandran Ashwin, branding the record-breaking spinner "the Bradman of bowling".

There are no surprise names in the squad as it comprises of nearly the same set of players who featured in the one-off Test against Bangladesh at Hyderabad. His opening batting partner Shikhar Dhawan also doesn't feature in the 15-member squad for the first two matches. It could be argued that the Australian batsmen failed to find the right balance between attack and defence at the time.

Australia will lean heavily on its new-ball operators, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood, in the forthcoming four-Test series in India. This will be their first series in India since being whitewashed 4-0 in 2012-13. Indians have also traditionally been wonderful players of spin.

The selectors have retained the Indian team that beat Bangladesh in the one-off Test for the first two Tests against Australia. "This was based on having a batting line-up that was adept at playing spin, in addition to a fine pace bowler in Graham McKenzie and an extremely good off-spinner in Ashley Mallet".

Ashwin and Jadeja shared eight wickets between them to lead the hosts to their fifth successive Test win since their 4-0 drubbing of England past year. He's a big player for India along with the others.

His dominance began with the tour of Sri Lanka in 2015, followed by the four-Test series against South Africa, in which he sent the Proteas into a tizzy by collecting 31 wickets as the Indians romped to a 3-0 series win.

"They've got the fast bowling attack to exploit these conditions". Natural swing with the brand new ball, and especially reserve swing, is going to be really important to the Australian team. Australia managed to collapse over and again on those sporting pitches. Further, he's evolved as a bowler to test batsmen away from the sub-continent too.

While the series is set to kick-off next week at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune, the Aussies will first play a three-day warm-up game against India A at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

"It will be hard to beat India with pace alone on these slow wickets".

"We do know that India are playing very good cricket and in their own backyard they are exceptional. They crush teams". The great Warne backed them up. Though, according to the head to head battle between India and Australia, Australia won many more matches than the Blues.
