Eevee Easter Egg Confirmed for Pokemon Go

'Pokemon GO' Eevee evolution guide: How to transform Eevee into one of three evolutions Get a Flareon, Vaporeon or Jolteon easily in Pokemon GO

Now, remember the Eevee brothers from the Pokemon Anime?

You can evolve an Eevee into a Flareon (a fire type), a Vaporeon (a water type) or a Jolteon (an electric type) just by changing your Eevee's name.

It initially seemed as though Eevee, the only Pokémon that can evolve into three different creatures, was subject to chance when evolving, but it can be pretty easily controlled.

First off, it's a no brainer, you'll need to collect 25 Eevee sweets in order to evolve it. So you have a lot of extra Eevee's in your collection or Eevee's are of such high abundance in your area. So how do players make the most out of their Eevees? The work around for this problem is you'll need to rename your Eevee once again, shut down the "Pokemon GO" app and open it back up before evolving your Eevee again.

The first step is, of course, catching Eevee.

Niantic Labs CEO John Hanke confirmed there was a way to control Eevee evolutions in Pokemon Go, confirming a long rumored Easter egg in the game.

Interestingly, the new hack uncovered by players is an Easter egg of sorts to the original "Pokemon" anime. They are better known as Eevee brothers. Those who want a Jolteon should type "Sparky" while those after a Flareon should type "Pyro". Sparkly is another name that also works to create a Jolteon.

However, a spokesperson for the said fast-food chain has reminded players not to bother other customers eating in the restaurant as they play the game. GameRant reported a 100% success rate using this hack.
